Annual Conference
The Association holds an Annual Conference for its members during the Easter Vacation. Attendance at the conference is open to members and invited guests. Awards are available to support attendance at the Annual Conference by research students. Visit Funding and Support page for details.

The 2026 Annual Conference of the Association of Hispanists of Great Britain and Ireland will be held face-to-face at Lancaster University on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th March, and online on Thursday 26th March 2026. We particularly encourage those who would like to participate online to consider formats such as roundtable discussions and workshops.

Only members of the AGHBI can apply for funding and support. You can apply for awards whilst your membership is being processed, but you will be unable to receive any actual award or funding until your membership is approved.
